Seeing how close this thrift store is to the nearby Salvation Army, and given that it’s right next door to St. Vincent de Paul’s REDUX Studios and Gallery, you’ll definitely want to include it on your thrifting circuit. Typically, you’re apt to find smaller furniture pieces here because the store is on the smaller side and there isn’t enough room for larger furniture, but there’s plenty of room for gads of clothing and housewares to keep you occupied. And, if you’re in the market for a wedding gown, you might give this store a try. I saw lots of beautiful, vintage bridal gowns on my last visit. New shipments arrive on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Be sure to ask about their “Frequent Shopper” cards, if you’re a senior citizen. And, remember, your purchase helps others less fortunate.
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Donations are accepted Monday to Sunday, 11 to 5, except holidays.
Proceeds go to those with workplace disadvantages and disabilities through job training, placement and employment. http://www.yelp.com/biz/goodwill-alameda
