Hospice Thrift Shoppe, Alamo

This is where the Mercedes Benz and Hummer drivers of the East Bay thrift.  Not far from the 680 freeway, off Stone Valley Road is this little thrift in a commercial center sporting a Long’s Drugs that really packs a punch.  You’ll benefit from the annual room makeovers of the wealthy by finding designer furniture, such as leather couches for $75, armoires for $125 and an entire set of fine china for under $50.  A nice assortment of designer wear for men and women, including the occasional Sean John shirt.  Great place for barware for a song, as well as lamps, books and kid’s clothes.  Donations are from the surrounding areas of Alamo and Danville, so you’re sure to find a gem here and there and a high thread count on these sheets!

  1. It is really disappointing that the people pricing the sale items are marking them so high? If the clothes and other items where more ” Thrift ” prices they probably would sell more and HOSPICE would have much more funds. $35 for a pair of Lucky Jeans that are very worn? $ 12 for a mixing bowl? Sad:(

    1. Well, sometimes the price points at stores do confuse me, but I always try to remind myself that it’s going to a good cause. And, we get to vote by not buying the items that are marked too high, right? Thanks for sharing your perspective. It seems that for every over-priced item there is one that is completely reasonable. Like today I found an antique locket for $2.50!

  2. Hi there I am so delighted I found your site, I really found you by
