I’ll be the first to admit that it is a rare day when I find something outstanding at a Goodwill Store. But, others I know find something every time they shop at Goodwill. So, I think it’s just hit and miss. The Goodwill, Antioch, however, seems to be the exception to the rule. This Goodwill is large and clean, with a sprawling location in a new light industrial building. This massive thrift store contains everything under the sun. You may find antique dressers for $10 and lots of larger furniture pieces, plus a plethora of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, not to mention a neon Budweiser sign or two to hang over your pool table. Tons o’ tchotchkes, and a good place to look for leather and suede jackets and second-hand wedding gowns. When I was there, there was also a ton of inexpensive teen clothing, so this seems like a very good place to outfit your teen. Case in point – check out the cute video I found on YouTube below of a couple of teens from who put together outfits using their thrifted finds from the Goodwill, Antioch. This is the wonderful thing about thrifting – it exercises our creative muscles and allows us to use our imaginations. Plus, it’s teaching these gals to be resourceful and to think outside the standard retail shopping experience. I love that they create a YouTube video so that they can teach their friends about the joys of thrifting. Well done, ladies!Goodwill 2701 W. 10th Street Antioch, CA 94509
