Everything Under The Rainbow

The fabulous “Gay Goodwill” as it refers to itself (although not affiliated with Goodwill Industries) opened up in May of 2012 in Concord and has now found a new home in El Cerrito as of August 2017.  This thrift store supports the LGBTQ community and provides all important funding to the Rainbow Community Center (RCC) in Todos Santos Plaza, an HIV clinic that also offers support groups for those with HIV, founded by 28-year old Jimmy Gale.  This store is a must on your East Bay thrifting circuit, and even though I haven’t been to the store yet, and I’m going against my usual policy to only list stores that I’ve visited, I feel it is important to support this new store that has such a big heart and let people know about it ASAP.  You’ll find amazing men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories, small furniture pieces, appliances and housewares, as well as all those things you didn’t know you needed, but must have!  And, it’s all for a good cause, so get shopping!  Here’s a link to an article and photos by Emily Henry at The Patch to read more about the store…
