The Hall Closet

What do former County probation officers and social workers do in their off hours?  They run this charming, clean thrift store!  Before it is discovered by throngs of thrift store junkies, check out the great deals that can be found here.  This somewhat hidden location behind Juvenile Hall carries everything from kitchen kitsch to men’s toggery, plus lots of clothes and toys for the kiddies.  They have limited hours, but what better cause is there than to help the youth in our community?  Get shopping, people!  They may still be looking for some quality volunteers, and donations are welcome during business hours.

The Hall Closet
100 Glacier Drive
Martinez, CA 94553

Hours:  Thursdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (NEW HOURS) – Also, the store says to google the address “202 Glacier Drive” and follow the signs to the store…

Proceeds benefit the Contra Costa Juvenile Hall Auxiliary, a non-profit volunteer organization designed to help the at-risk youth in our community.

    • Hi Connie:

You may want to contact The Hall Closet directly, as they do not sponsor this blog, so they may not have seen your email. This website is my own, personal project and isn’t directly associated with any thrift store. Thanks for stopping by! And, I think it is great that you want to volunteer!
