Clausen House--CLOSED IN 2014

This wonderful thrift in Oakland’s gentrifying Temescal neighborhood is teeming with vintage delights.  And, they’ve recently expanded, so check out their new Annex, too!  I always find something interesting here, and it is likely that you will too!  Situated on Telegraph Avenue and dangerously close to Bakesale Betty and a host of other worthy establishments, is this unassuming depot of thrifty goodness.  You’ll find vintage clothing, housewares and furniture pieces along with all kinds of stuff that you didn’t even know you needed.  Look for their funky window displays and then be sure to give yourself plenty of time to wander their aisles.  You will not be disappointed and it is rare that you will leave empty handed. You may even find that one-of-a-kind wedding dress you’ve always been looking for.
