Named after General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, but most famous as the home of Six Flaggs Marine World and the first US Naval installation on the west coast, Mare Island, the City of Vallejo has a cute, historic downtown, a full-fledged Heritage District, and seven thriving thrift stores.
Hit the Vallejo Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning, grab an espresso at Java Jax, a former 1950’s motor lodge converted into a coffee shop, and head out for a day of sheer thrifting inspiration. Then, once you’ve worked up an appetite, check back at the First United Methodist Church to see what they’re cooking up for lunch. You’ll discover that they have a thrift store in their basement!
Just scroll over “Vallejo” and each store will appear on the right-hand side. Or, simply click on each store below to find out more.
